The iconic worshiper and singer, Elder Dr. Emmanuel Mireku celebrated his 40th Anniversary in ministry over the weekend. The night was charged with ministrations from other celebrated Ghanaian gospel artistes like, Uncle Ato, Mary Ghansah and Ohemaa Mercy.
Elder Mireku is one of Ghana’s most celebrated worshipers. Elder’s ministry began in the late 1970’s. He has earned much respect for his selfless contribution to the propagation of the Christian faith. He is well known for his worship sessions. The atmosphere simply changes when he lifts choruses to a highly expectant audience.
In 2008, Elder Akwasi Mireku was nominated and awarded a national honor by the former president, John Agyekum Kuffour. The Pentecost worshiper is favourite for his anointed worship and praise sessions. He can be seen during major worship/music concerts around Ghana and some part of the world.
He was recently celebrated and awarded with a Lifetime Achievement Award during the maiden issue of the Ghana Music Awards (South Africa edition).
The celebration was aimed at giving God glory for the 40 years God has used his chosen servant, Elder Akwasi. The worshiper held a conference at MJ Grand Hotel at East Legon in Accra . His manager, Peter Tekper, annouced that three concerts will be organized in three regions as part of the celebrations.
Jackson Park in Koforidua hosted the first concert on August 3rd, the second was in Kumasi on September 14th, and the final concert happened at the Black Star Square in Accra on November 9th.
