Obaapa Christy to donate album launch gate proceeds to an orphanage

Gospel artiste, Rev. Obaapa Christy is set to release her 11th career album on March 17, at the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Holy Ghost Temple, Adenta – Frafraha.

The award-winning gospel artiste has six songs on the album titled ”W’agye Me”.

During the launch of ‘Aseda Nwom’, Obaapa donated the proceeds to Osu Childrens’ Home in Accra. Similarly in 2014, after the launch of ‘Hyebre Sesafor’, the proceeds were also donated to an orphanage in Bawjiase, a suburb in the Central region.

This year is no exception as she will donate all proceeds from the ticket sales from her album launch to an orphanage.

In an interview with Obaapa, she reiterated that it was a covenant between her and God.

Ever since I started doing this, God has been more than faithful to me. His blessings are endless. My dream is to build an orphanage but until then I won’t stop giving back to the needy especially orphans.

“My team and I are also organizing a Medical and Mental Health screening as well as registering attendants unto the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS). It is my little quota in giving back to society.

“Giving is one of the greatest commissions the Bible encourages every Christian to undertake. Luke 6: 38 encourages Christians to always give so as to be given in return.” Obaapa Christy on why she wants to donate proceeds accrued from the sale of tickets at her album launch to orphanage homes.
